Place FreezPeaz® in the freezer for at least 10-15 minutes. Apply pack to affected area for up to 20 minutes. Remove pack and wait 20 minutes. Reapply for another 20 minutes if needed. Always test pack temperature before applying.
Cold therapy is best used as an immediate treatment for sprains, strains, bruises, burns or stings. It helps by reducing swelling, pain and inflammation.
Using water: Place FreezPeaz® in hot water (max 80°c) for at least 10-15 minutes. Allow to stand for one minute before applying. Always test pack temperature before use.
Using microwave: Place the FreezPeaz® in the microwave (recommended 800w) ensuring the pea pearls are evenly distributed in the pack. Heat for 25 seconds on a low power setting. Heating times vary depending on power of microwave. Allow the pack to rest for at least 1 minute and test before using. Heat for an additional 5 seconds at a time if needed.
Ideal for when the injury is older than 48 hours. Heat causes the blood vessels to dilate bringing more blood into the area to stimulate healing of damaged tissues. Heat has a soothing effect and helps to relieve pain, stiffness, menstrual cramps, spasms and pain associated with arthritis.
For external use only. Overheating may be dangerous and cause burns. Follow instructions carefully and always test before applying to the skin (hot or cold). Do not apply to open wounds or sensitive skin. Children to use only with adult supervision. Do not open, puncture and/or ingest its contents. Those with sensitive skin should place a thin towel between pack and skin to avoid frostbite or burns. Do not use on infants. If contents are exposed to skin or eyes, flush with water immediately. Do not fall asleep whilst using pack. Do not use for prolonged periods. If pain or swelling persists, consult your doctor. They are not REAL PEAS! Don’t eat them with your Sunday lunch!
